Sour surprise

Reagan has a weakness for sweet treats. I wonder where she gets that?! She knows that I keep snacks in my work bag and in my purse. So anytime I leave them within her reach, she helps herself to my snacks. Tonight, she found a bag of sour gummy lifesavers. I expression on her face as she eats them is priceless. Take a look...

Our pig

Did you know that we have a pig? Well, technically, we have 1/2 of a pig. Its quite morbid actually... right now, our pig is being cared for and fattened up. Then this summer, our pig will be murdered and turned into the meat types of our choice. Like I said, morbid. But also organic and healthy because we know the pig has not been given any nasty things and such. When we decided to get the pig, I said I never wanted to see it and I didn't want to name it. Well then Grandpa D invited Reagan to see the pigs. Of course, we couldn't say no after she kept repeating "go see the pigs" over and over.

So here are the pigs...

I don't know which pig is actually ours and I don't want to.

Ever since, Reagan says "pigs stink". Smart girl. :-)

Well....

Its a BOY!!! Everything looks great and he is measuring right on track (or a few days ahead). I was so nervous and anxious to find out if everything was going well, so now I am full of relief and excitement. We are so happy to have a little boy, but have NO idea what his name will be. But there is no denying that HE is a HE!!

Here are his photos from the ultrasound.... I scanned them so hopefully you can see what everything is.

The first photo shows his little profile. Then the second photo shows his face and belly. His face is a little creepy... in an adorable way of course!
The love the first picture... its of his arm and his knee. He is laying with his knee to his elbow. The others are more profile and face.

Here he is again! Can you see his arms up behind his head?

The first photo shows the PROOF that he is a boy!!! Definitely no mistaking it. And the last on is his perfect little foot.
My plan was to get cupcakes after my appointment. Unfortunately, they are closed on Mondays! So I went shopping instead. :) I got some adorable little boy outfits! Daddy is currently "shopping" through the name books.

I can hear myself

Reagan has always been a chatterbug. She will repeat anything you say. Recently, her communication skills have jumped to a whole new level! We really do carry on conversations. She knows what she wants, asks for it, and usually gets it. :) The more she talks... the more I hear myself! For instance...

When the cat meows too much, Reagan says "What cat?!" Which is exactly what I say.
When Boone is barking at the door, Reagan says "Geez Boone." Sounds familiar...
We were shopping, we saw some crayons. Reagan said "Color. Don't eat 'em or we put 'em away". Think she has heard that before?!

My current favorite Reagan-ism is when she wants to sing Row, Row, Row your Boat, she says "Jeck-a-ween". Which roughly translates into gently down the stream. :)

18 weeks

Today marks our 18th week of pregnancy. Things are going well, aside from the constant exhaustion. I am trying to stay stress free... which is super hard with work and grad school. Luckily the year is almost over. I am so happy to be feeling the baby moving all the time and I can even feel him/her from the outside now! Of course, everytime I call daddy to feel, the baby is still and silent. We'll time it right someday... :)

In other news... next Monday is our *BIG* ultrasound!!! Make your guess now... I think I might start a pool (or is it poll?). If I do, you'll be in the first know.

Who doesn't love cream cheese?!

I was having a craving for my favorite Asiago Cheese bagel from Panera. Nic, being the awesome guy he is, went out first thing in the morning and brought one home. He got Reagan a bagel too. She didn't care about the bagel... but she LOVED the cream cheese!!!!
