Walking shoes

I know I have mentioned before that we are in a princess phase (much better than the Wiggles obsession if you ask me). Well, Reagan and I spend much of the day dancing and singing. She has all the Disney princess figurines and we carry them around the house with us. We carry baby Sleeping Beauty into the woods to hide from the 'ouchy light'. The mice help us with our beautiful dress after the 'step-modder' rips it. Of course, we always dance around with our prince. Well, of course, every princess needs a fancy dress. What coordinates better with your dress than 'walking shoes'. Yep- Reagan calls heels "walking shoes". Hilarious and ironic since walking in them is the worst part! I love the things she comes up with. She has such an imagination lately.

Another milestone!

Liam is rapidly entering the 'fun' baby phase. He is becoming more aware of the world around him and is definitely curious about everything. About 2 weeks ago, he officially became a sitter! He loves to sit up and play with his toys. Of course, he gets a little too excited and tips over. Daddy and I were joking that he is able to sit so well because his legs are so thick that he has a good base. We have already apologized that he will be shopping in the husky department.

Eating Cucumbers

If you ever have a recipe that calls for 'seedless' cucumbers I know someone who would be glad to help you out! Silly girl.

My favorite Reagan-ism

I have been intending to record my favorite Reagan-ism but never have the camera at the right moment. So this video is staged, she says what I wanted her to say, but its not as good as the random moments.

In case you can't understand her, she says "I mell like farts". The entire phase is usually "My needa taka chowder, my mell like farts".

Don't worry, I already wrote it in her baby book so she will NEVER live it down. :)

5 months!

Liam is five months old today. I thought he might celebrate by sleeping through the night... that was just wishful thinking! We don't have another doctor appointment so I don't know his official stats. But unofficially, he is huge! It looks so funny when Reagan tries to hold him because he seems almost as big as her. He will definitely surpass her in size soon. Much like my little brother did to me.

Some random Liam factoids at 5 months old:

- Liam loves his feet. When he lays on his back, he always has his feet up by his face. He usually takes his socks off all by himself. But if he doesn't get them off, thats ok, he just chews on the socks too. Seriously, the boy is obsessed. He will be so excited when the weather warms up and he doesn't have to wear socks. He has never experienced sock-free living since he arrived right before the cold weather came.

- Liam loves things with buttons. In particular, the remote control. He lunges out of your arms to grab it. We let him examine in for a short while, but as you can imagine, he wants to taste it.
- Liam is super ticklish! He cracks up laughing and squirms away in delight. So of course, he gets tickled on a regular basis.
- Liam is hungry ALL. THE. TIME. He eats cereal (rice or oatmeal) twice a day. He still nurses every 2 hours. Thankfully, he doesn't wake up around the clock, but during the day he definitely doesn't go more than 2-2 1/2 hours without eating. There is no way we are waiting until 6 months to start fruits and veggies. He is so interested in what we are eating. He is always grabbing stuff from our plates and loves if you will share a drink with him (we only share water).
-If you give Liam a bath, you will get wet! He is a kicker and a splasher.
- We have entered the "where did my mommy go" phase. If I put him down and leave the room, there will be tears. When I come back in, the tears are gone. Definitely a momma's boy.
-Liam hates pacis, sitting in his carseat too long, sudden loud noises, being hungry, being tired, stopping at stop lights/signs while driving, and sleeping in his crib. He is getting used to the idea of a drinking a bottle, finally, thank goodness.
He is a special little guy. I am proud to be his mommy and we love him more every day.

fabulous fotos

My dearest friend, Jenny, just happens to be a wonderful photographer. She takes such awesome pictures of the kids. These are from the beginning of February. Aren't they perfect?! I have tons more, but uploading them takes forever. So this is just a random sampling.
